Linking WordPress and kintone
### Linking WordPress and kintone ###
I would like to show you how to link kintone and WordPress using WordPress plugin, “Cybozu WP to kintone“.
### Creating Application ###
This plugin is the best suit for a survey application since the plugin links to WordPress posting. I am going to use the Product Survey application from kintone marketplace.
After logging into kintone portal, click “+” sign on the right side of Apps area. The “Create App” screen pops up and clicks “Create from Marketplace”.
Click “Marketing” filter on the left pane and select “Product Survey” from the App list. Click “Add This App” button to create the application.
The Product Survey application has been created and added to the top of the list.
Click and open the app.
Click “…” sign on the right of “+” sign and select “Change app setting”.
Click “API token” under customization and Integration category.
Click “Generate” button and select “Add records” permission.
Jot down “API Token”, Subdomain and App ID as in the screenshot below.
Click “Save” button” to update the setting.
Click “Update App” button to apply the changes to the app.
### WordPress configuration ###
After login to WordPress admin account, select “Plugin” – “Add New” and search by keyword “kintone”.
Select and install “Cybozu wp to kintone” from the search result.
Activate the plugin.
Select [Posts] – [Add New] to add Product Survey as the new post.
Enter “API Token”, “Subdomain”, and “App ID” from the previous memo in the text area as the shortcode as shown below screenshot.
Click “Publish” button on the right.
Click “Preview” to see the page you just published and you will see the survey form as shown below.
After filling in the survey and submit the form, the data will appear on the kintone database.
Now you can aggregate the result and/or create the graphs easily within the kintone application.
